Holiday Club

Every parent needs help during the school holidays, maybe you need childcare because of everyday work or maybe you would like your child to be outside taking part in different activities, socialising and making new friends instead of being indoors all day. We are here to help! Why not send your child to our new holiday club? We provide a fun and active style of childcare which involves a wide range of fun activities from sports to arts and crafts.

Why would I choose Sportstarz?

We are a fresh, new company run by people with plenty of experience in organising and running holiday clubs that encourages young people to get off the sofa, or that Nintendo DS they crave, and get out there and take part in fun activities in a friendly and controlled environment. This can lead to new hobbies and interests, and of course making new friends.

Who would be looking after my child?

Gareth Coombes: has assisted and run activity clubs on the Island for nearly 13 years. He is well known to many children and parents across the island for tennis coaching and running childrens parties. Gareth has great experience in the running of a wide range of activities and possesses the knowledge and awareness to ensure this is done with full participation from children in a safe manner.

Michael Trotter: has nearly 10 years of experience in assisting and running activity clubs on the island. He has led activity clubs from a very young age and has had great success in doing so. Michael has also gained experience in working abroad in America on a children’s holiday camp during the summer as a Camp Counsellor and tennis coach. Michael is always planning new games and drills to get the best out of the players that he coaches, while maintaining a great level of enjoyment for all.

Special Activities

We run additional activities at every holiday club which is something a bit different from the usual sports or arts and crafts sessions. We offer face painting sessions with Face Painting by Joni which is hugely popular! We run smoothie and fruit salad making sessions for the children to promote healthy lifestyle knowledge where they can choose which fruit and other ingredients they would like in their smoothies. There are also seasonal activities like Easter egg hunts, Halloween disco and Santa’s team games which feature at the appropriate clubs. When booking spaces you will see the list of additional activities taking place during that club.

Our facilities will include…

Indoor: We will be able to use two indoor halls throughout the day for dance games/competitions, arts and crafts and other indoor activities to keep the children entertained.

Outdoor Tennis Courts: We will be keen to get the children outside as much as possible if weather conditions are good. We plan to run tennis games, netball and a series of different dodgeball games.

Playing Field: This will be used for a huge number of outdoor games. We will be running football sessions and matches along with tag games, relay races and a list of other sporty activities.

Please Note: All children crossing the carpark to the outdoor facilities will be accompanied by a member of staff.
